Open International Showcases How to Shape a Smart Utility at CS Week 2024

Open International, a leading provider of technology solutions for utilities, made a significant impact at the 48th CS Week Conference, the most relevant annual event for professionals and providers in the industry. This event, held in Fort Worth, TX, attracted around 2,000 sector professionals and provided Open with a platform to unveil the latest advancements in its utility billing system, Smartflex. This cutting-edge CIS solution, driven by artificial intelligence, streamlines end-to-end business processes, offering personalized interactions and omnichannel communication to enhance operational efficiency and elevate the customer experience.

During the week, CS Week attendees had the opportunity to explore Smartflex’s capabilities through various product demonstrations. At Open’s booth, they interacted with the system and learned how this technological platform helps them simplify the complex commercial operations of their businesses, transforming them into simple digital journeys.

During the event, attendees also had the opportunity to engage with Open’s team in various spaces, such as the Billing & Payments Deep Dive panel discussion, where Hernando Parrott, President of Open North America, shared best practices and trends for optimizing billing and payment processes through self-service portals and proactive digital interactions in utilities. Parrott also showed examples of how Open has helped its customers in 19 countries execute these processes more efficiently.

Additionally, Juan Corredor, Open’s CTO, gave a technical presentation focused on how generative AI and digital adoption tools can offer flexibility to address the unique challenges of utilities, These challenges include simplifying their operations, enhancing customer experience, innovating in customer contact processes, increasing work team efficiency, and mitigating the impact of technological obsolescence.
