Open’s Customers Benefit from Continuous Upgrade

In 2024, Open Intelligence delivered 119 new features to its customers across four releases, designed to effectively address the evolving needs of users. This year, we started January by announcing the launch of Release 51 of Smartflex V8, which offers enhancements that boost operational efficiency, optimize the customer experience, and strengthen security, enabling organizations to remain competitive in a constantly evolving digital landscape.

Miami, January 2025 — In a market where innovation is key, utility companies need to adopt continuous upgrade strategies to better position themselves to tackle technological challenges and ensure competitiveness. According to Gartner, organizations that implement technology solutions with automated, continuous updates experience 25% faster revenue growth compared to competitors who do not. Furthermore, Gartner emphasizes that hyper automation and distributed solutions will be fundamental for achieving greater operational efficiency and accelerating growth.

Aware of this reality, Open has developed a continuous upgrade strategy in Smartflex version 8. This approach ensures that companies can benefit from the latest technological innovations without disruptions to their operations, allowing for a seamless transition to each new release.

Julián Gallego, Revenue Assurance Manager in the Commercial Solutions Division of EPM, an Open client, highlighted,

To maximize the benefits of Open’s releases, EPM has developed an internal strategy to ensure each release is successfully implemented in production without any negative impact on our end customers”.

Starting off 2025, Open announced the launch of Release 51 of Smartflex V8, which introduces significant improvements to enhance operational efficiency, optimize customer experience, and strengthen security. These innovations allow utilities to quickly adapt to market needs, deliver more agile and personalized experiences to their customers, and remain competitive in an ever-evolving digital environment.
